Sports Season 2010:
Barbara Hanus from Feathered Dragon Farm sent us great news about her Friesian Sijmen and herself – just read here: “Sijmen and I went to Regionals last weekend in MI and we got Reserve Champion for our First Level AA Championship class! He was such a good boy and a blast to ride. I was sick due to allergies so I didn't ride him to our best so I was even more proud of him. Plus we had two of the toughest judges there – when I saw who we had I was a bit bummed but we won our two classes the day before so I was feeling a bit more confident. We were the first in our class and when I saw our score 69.868 I was really thrilled – the Reserve Champion was just the icing on the cake! Turns out the horse who beat us has been showing 2nd Level all year. It seems that's the way the game is played – I noticed most of the winners have shown above the level they competed in Championships. I didn't compete in the Training Level Champs because Heather did so well with him last year and I didn't think that would be fair to the others – guess I have to change my way of thinking! lol” Congrats! … and of course we all keep our fingers crossed for the upcoming shows! |
